21,000 emails, 43 % open rate, a B2B pipeline built from nothing

Where they started
Five venues, declining revenue, and a local market upended by the opening of far larger competitors.
B2B already accounted for part of revenue, but with no active channel: one newsletter a year, word of mouth, and a paid campaign shut down six months earlier because returns couldn't be measured. Positioning had stayed anchored to the original activity while the offer had broadened long before.
Our work
- 01Refusing to start with acquisitionThe initial request was to launch outbound immediately. We imposed a sequence: visual assets first, then sales materials, then the channel. Prospecting without something convincing to show burns through your database.
- 02Producing the missing proofPhoto and video production managed end to end: brief, supplier coordination, footage selection, revisions. A salesperson without visuals doesn't sell a venue.
- 03Repositioning before prospectingSite specification with a dedicated B2B page, homepage rebuilt around the actual offer, restructured navigation, iterations on the sales deck.
- 04Building the channel properlyA 12,000-contact database cleaned and segmented, named contacts isolated for a personalised sequence, dedicated domains warmed up, three-email sequence with A/B testing.

Practices involved
Growth-led, with a development component on the materials. This project best illustrates our position on sequencing: a channel launched without assets or positioning produces volume, not sales.
